Comma Separator

Turn one value per line into a comma-separated list. Your text stays in your browser.

Options

Maximum 1 MiB of text. Values keep their original order and letter case.

From a column to one CSV row

Use this when you have a column of names, IDs or labels and need one comma-separated row. Paste one value per line, choose your options and select Convert list. Names, IDs, accents and emoji are kept as whole values. Exact duplicates are case-sensitive: “A” and “a” remain different.

Example: values with commas and quotes

Three input lines

café
North, South
He said "Hi"

One CSV row

café,"North, South","He said ""Hi"""

The comma inside “North, South” stays within one value. The doubled quotes preserve the original quotation marks; they do not add extra values.

Commas and double quotes inside a value are quoted for CSV. Every line is a separate value; this tool does not import complex, multi-line CSV or prepare SQL. Empty first or last values can produce a leading or trailing comma when you keep empty lines.

Downloads use UTF-8. Values that might become spreadsheet formulas block CSV download rather than being silently changed. Review copied text before using it in a spreadsheet.
